DARLINGTON'S match against Clitheroe at Heritage Park today has passed 12pm pitch inspection and is on.
Referee John Matthews inspected the playing surface at 9am and decided to wait until 12pm before giving his final verdict.
Quakers had asked for volunteers to help prepare the pitch and around 25 answered the SOS. Their hard work has proven worthwhile with the referee deeming the pitch playable.
After Bishop Auckland's match at Heritage Park last night was postponed, there were fears that today's game would become Darlington's third recent postponement having also lost the Boxing Day and New Year's Day games to the weather.
Quakers are bidding to return to winning ways having drawn 2-2 with Salford City last Saturday, a result that brought to an end their run of six successive victories.
