The Advertiser Series: Sunderland midfielder leaves on loan Sunderland midfielder leaves on loan

SUNDERLAND midfielder Cabral has left the club to join Italian side Genoa on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 25-year-old only moved to Wearside last summer on a free transfer from Swiss club Basle.

However, after starting the opening game of the season against Fulham, he was immediately dropped, with his only other appearance coming against MK Dons in the second round of the Capital One Cup.

Gustavo Poyet has not ruled out him returning to Wearside at the end of his Italian loan spell.

Employed Tax Payer, Central Darlo says...

Would've been a better idea to loan him to an English club so if he did return he wouldn't have to re-adjust to the English game and way of life.
