TWO late goals earned Hartlepool United a 2-0 win over York City.
Luke James, 19, and Jack Barmby, 17, proved the difference to earn Pools a first win of 2014 and inflict a first defeat of the year for the Minstermen.
Neither side looked capable of breaking the deadlock until James struck on 82 minutes.
Jack Baldwin knocked the ball down for James to crack in a low shot from the edge of the area for his 11th goal of the season.
And on 89 minutes, ten minutes after his introduction, Barmby struck.
Signed on loan from Manchester United, the son of ex-England international Nicky, curled a fine effort high into the net from the edge of the penalty area.
The visitors could have taken the lead just before Pools edged ahead.
Home goalkeeper Scott Flinders dropped a high ball and defender Keith Lowe got under the ball and somehow managed to lift it high over the bar from six yards.
Andy Monkhouse volleyed wide for Pools as half-time approached and minutes after the break, striker Wes Fletcher was twice denied in a scramble by Flinders.
