SUNDERLAND midfielder David Vaughan has been transferred to Nottingham Forest until the end of the season.
The Welshman joined Forest on loan earlier this season, and will now remain at the City Ground for the remainder of the campaign, with the Championship club effectively taking over the final six months of his Sunderland contract.
Vaughan, who scored in last season's Tyne-Wear derby win over Newcastle, has made six appearances so far this season for Billy Davies’ men.
