4:59pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

Full-time, and it's finished 0-0.

A poor game, which came with a nasty sting in the tail thanks to the injury that led to Carayol being stretchered off.

4:57pm

Sunderland 0 Crystal Palace 0

A day of frustration on Wearside ...

http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/11080167.Match_report__Sunderland_0_Crystal_Palace_0/?ref=var_0

4:52pm

Sunderland 0 Crystal Palace 0

Not the result Sunderland needed. A goalless draw and by the end of the game Palace could easily have won it. They finished the stronger.

Report to follow ...

4:52pm

Fulham 1 Newcastle 0

Ashkan Dejagah's second half strike is enough to earn botton side Fulham a crucial win. Magpies offered very little and failed to put Fulham under any real pressure in front of goal.

4:51pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

Horrible end to the game here for Boro as Carayol has sustained what looks to be a really serious injury.

He went down attempting to hook the ball clear, and it was instantly apparent he was in a lot of pain.

On first impressions, it looks as though he may have damaged ligaments in his knee.

4:50pm

Hartlepool United 4 Bristol Rovers 0

Franks completed the job in the 90th minute, drilling in from 12 yards after James hit the post.

Easy, routine, comprehensive win. Collins MOM by the sponsors, he was outstanding at the back - with everyone impressing to be fair.

4:49pm

Northwich 1 Darlington 1

RED CARD: Northwich's Marc Joseph sent off for a late lunge on Thompson. 89mins. 1-1.

4:42pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 1
Within minutes of the goal, Purewal missed a one-on-one. Again. Shot straight at the keeper after a Thompson pass. And then Galbraith played in Fisher, but he lifted his shot over the bar.

4:41pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 1
Northwich equalise after poor Darlington defending at a corner. Clarke bundled home after ball was flicked on at near post.
Probably deserved, they’ve pushed Quakers back and Darlington have not created as much in second half.

4:39pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

Bournemouth becoming increasingly threatening here, but Gibson has denied Pugh with a superb covering tackle on the edge of the six-yard box, and Konstantopoulos has tipped over Francis' rising long-range drive.

4:32pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 0
Brown blocks again amid a spell of Northwich pressure, stopping a shot by Marc Joseph outside the penalty area.
The lanky Aboubacar Sanogo has come on at right-wing for the hosts and has shown some nice touches. One to watch with 18mins to go.

4:31pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

The second half's been really low on quality here, with neither side really threatening.

Boro are defensively well organised and solid in midfield, but offering almost nothing in terms of a cutting edge.

4:30pm

Sunderland 0 Crystal Palace 0

It's not happening here. Sunderland struggling, frustrations at a game high and a goal does not look likely. Palace could nick it, if they can find a way of creating something.

4:27pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 0
It was tight at the beginning of the second half with not much between the teams. On the hour a corner led to confusion in Quakers’ penalty area with the ball pinging around and several shots being blocked, most notably Brown throwing himself at Michael Clarke.
Darlington survived and remain 1-0 up after 68mins.

4:26pm

Fulham 1 Newcastle 0 (Dejagah, 68)

Newcastle go behind and it's substitute Ashkan Dejagah. Yanga-Mbiwa stood off and allowed him to curl ball past Krul.

4:18pm

Sunderland 0 Crystal Palace 0

This game certainly feels like it is at a pivotal stage. Sunderland still the better side, but frustrations building and Larsson has been particularly poor.

You just get the sense that there could easily be a sting in the tail if Sunderland don't score soon.

4:17pm

Fulham 0 Newcastle 0

Fulham have goal ruled out for offside. Heitinga's initial shot crashed down off the crossbar and looked over the line before Woodrow's follow up was chalked off.

Hawkeye said no goal, but it's by milimetres!

4:17pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

Boro make their first change of the afternoon, but it's hardly an attacking one, with Chalobah coming on for Tomlin.

4:15pm

HARTLEPOOL United 3 Bristol Rovers 0

Harewood clattered in the box, clear penalty. Harewood wanted to take it, Walton did and rolled in easily.

After back to back 3-0 home wins, Pools should now go for more against desperate opposition.

4:14pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

Slow start to the second half, although we've finally had an effort on target with Grabban looping a header into Konstantopoulos' arms.

4:14pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 0
Good chance go begging at either end. Fisher was inches away from connecting with a header when Galbraith chipped a cross over after reaching the byline, before the hosts broke quickly and after beating the offside trap striker Gary Burnett beat the onrushing Bell to the ball, but the ball rolled wide of the post. 55mins.

4:06pm

Sunderland 0 Crystal Palace 0

Altidore has come on for Fletcher. The Scotland striker was limping, but that change was required anyway.

Hopefully Altidore will freshen things up. Borini denied by Speroni seconds later, but was offside anyway.

3:50pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 0
Darlington 1-0 up, Thompson with the only goal. Quakers comfortable and have wasted chances to be 2-0 up. Tait a concern, has been limping after going down injured.
Meanwhile, Curzon are also winning 1-0 at Farsley.

3:50pm

Sunderland 0 Crystal Palace 0

Despite being the better side, Sunderland have failed to seriously trouble Speroni in the Palace goal.

Palace have been determined and have been well organised and that has frustrated the home side.

If a goal is going to come from anywhere it would seem Johnson would have something to do with it.

3:48pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

Goalless at half-time, but Boro could easily have been a goal and a man down had two key decisions not gone for them.

Better required in the second half if they're going to take all three points, but they're still very much in this.

3:47pm

Fulham 0 Newcastle 0

Not the best game at Craven Cottage, but the Magpies have got better as the half has gone on.

3:46pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 0
Northwich’s Meadowcraft escapes a yellow for the second time today, despite pushing Purewal to the floor when he had no intention of winning the ball. 43mins.

3:43pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

Another huge let off for Boro.

Grabban robbed a dawdling Dimi of the ball close to the edge of the area, and rolled it into an empty net.

The referee disallowed the goal and awarded a foul against the keeper, but it looked borderline at best.

Either way, Dimi was nowhere near strong or convincing enough as he attempted to retain possession.

3:39pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 0
Fisher flashes a shot wide from 25 yards after a Darlington throw-in when the ball was worked left to right across the pitch.
Darlington are looking comfortable, untroubled by a team with few ideas going forward. 37mins gone.

3:38pm

Fulham 0 Newcastle 0

After a slow start at Craven Cottage Newcastle are finally coming to life. Cisse denied by a brilliant Stockdale save. Holtby has gone closest for the hosts.

3:35pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

Tomlin causing problems for Boro by buzzing around in the hole behind Graham.

He's certainly a lively player, and his willingness to harrass and close opponents down is preventing Bournemouth from playing the ball out from the back.

Both sides still to record a shot on target though.

3:35pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 0
Two-handed save by Tim Deasy stops Dowson from scoring. The striker took the ball past centre-back Danny Meadowcraft and unleashed a powerful effort at an angle which Deasy beat away.

3:33pm

Hartlepool United 2 Bristol Rovers 0

Is this Pools best display of the season? Certainly their most energetic 45 minutes at the very least. Utterly in command.

3:32pm

Sunderland 0 Crystal Palace 0

Mannone very nearly hugely embarrassed there. Just as he attempted to clear a back pass, his left boot stuck in the ground and his right leg fell kindly to kick.

That could so easily have been a Palace opener.

3:31pm

Sunderland 0 Crystal Palace 0

The Black Cats have still been the better team, but have been limited to a few shots from outside the box. Johnson has looked lively, but Poyet needs to see more from others.

3:28pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 0
Big chance wasted on 24 minutes. Amar Purewal missed a one-on-one, as he often does. Was played into the penalty area by Dowson but thundered his shot against the bar. Thompson gathered the loose ball and passed to Davis whose shot was off target.

3:25pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 0
A comment by Northwich midfielder Jordan Hadfield during a break in play: Lads, we need to get playing football. This is ******* terrible.”

3:24pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

Boro are lucky to still have 11 men on the field here.

Ritchie fouled Leadbitter and prevented the Boro player from getting up by falling on top of him.

However, after they became untangled, Leadbitter clearly kicked the back of Ritchie's leg in clear view of the assistant referee.

After a long chat between the assistant and the referee, Leadbitter was only booked. An extremely lucky escape for the midfielder.

3:18pm

Hartlepool 2 Bristol Rovers 0

What a goal from Bradley Walker. Had two men on top of him, took a touch to get it out of his feet into space and then curled into the bottom corner from 25 yards on 16 minutes.

Another goal of the season contender from the 17-year-old midfielder.

3:17pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

Lovely short corner routine from Bournemouth almost ended in a goal, but no one was on hand to convert Ritchie's driven cross across the box.

3:09pm

Bournemouth 0 Boro 0

Lively start from both sides, which hopefully augurs well for a decent game.

Graham blazed over from distance in the first minute for Boro, while Grabban has headed well wide for the hosts.

3:09pm

Darlington 1 Northwich Victoria 0
Stephen Thompson’s 20th league goal of the season in the sixth minute gives Quakers the lead, a neat finish frm edge of penalty area after dribbling past a couple of defenders.

3:07pm

3:05pm

Darlington v Northwich Victoria
Darlington have started with a 4-4-2 formation, Fisher on the right wing.

3:03pm

Hartlepool United 1 Bristol Rovers 0

Decent start! 58 seconds in, and from a Barmby corner which was headed on, Harewood was unmarked six yards out and planted a free header home.

3:01pm

Bournemouth 0

Boro 0

We're under way at a warm and sunny Goldsands Stadium - aka Dean Court.

Boro in their rarely-seen all-white third strip, and being backed by around 1,000 travelling fans. That's some support how given how far away we are.

2:57pm

Darlington v Northwich Victoria
In the Northwich team is Tim Deasy, a former Gateshead goalkeeper who played against Darlington in the 2011 FA Trophy semi-finals.

2:52pm

Darlington v Northwich Victoria

Steven Johnson is back in the Darlington squad today and there is a new name among the substitutes for today’s game at Northwich Victoria.

Lewis Wing has joined the club from Seaham Red Star, bolstering a squad that has been hit by injuries and suspension.

2:21pm

NEWCASTLE UNITED have made three changes for this afternoon’s Premier League match at Fulham.
Alan Pardew will watch the game from the team hotel following his seven-match ban for headbitting David Meyler with John Carver taking over the reins at Craven Cottage.
The Magpies have made three changes from the side that beat Hull City a fortnight ago with Fabricio Coloccini, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Papiss Cisse returning to the side.
Coloccini returns after being given time off following the death of a family member, while Yanga-Mbiwa and Cisse replace injured duo Mathieu Debuchy and Loic Remy.

Bournemouth vs Middlesbrough

Aitor Karanka has made just the one change to the side that drew with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.

Albert Adomah comes into the starting XI to replace Emmanuel Ledesma, and is expected to line up on the right-hand side.

Lee Tomlin has shaken off the ankle problem that forced him out during the first half of Tuesday's 1-1 draw, and will play in a slightly withdrawn position behind Danny Graham.

Dean Whitehead continues to partner Grant Leadbitter at the base of midfield, with Kenneth Omeruo and Ben Gibson lining up at the heart of the back four.

Bournemouth (4-1-4-1): Camp; Francis, Cook, Elphick, Harte; O'Kane; Ritchie, Arter, Surman, Coulibaby; Grabban.

Subs: Allsop (gk), Smith, MacDonald, Pugh, Fraser, Rantie, Pitman.

2:11pm

2:10pm

Sunderland v Crystal Palace

Teams are out here at the Stadium of Light for a game of huge importance. Whatever happens here today could have a real bearing on the relegation battle, with morale likely to take a hit by the losers.

SUNDERLAND (4-4-2): Mannone; Bardsley, O'Shea, Brown, Alonso; Bridcutt; Johnson, Ki, Larsson, Borini; Fletcher. Subs: Gardner, Colback, Altidore, Vergini, Scocco, Cattermole, Ustari (gk).

Bournemouth vs Middlesbrough

It's absolutely glorious on the south coast as Boro prepare to take on Bournemouth.

It's the ultimate mid-table game with 12th-placed Bournemouth taking on 13th-placed Boro.

Too late for either team to make the play-offs? Almost certainly. But Boro are unbeaten in their last two, so let's hope they at least put on a bit of a show in the sunshine.

1:51pm

Welcome to another action-packed day of live football.

Here on The Northern Echo's live blog, we're across all of the action involving the North-East teams.

The biggest game takes place at the Stadium of Light as Sunderland entertain Crystal Palace in the kind of game the phrase "relegation six pointer" could have been invented for.

Staying in the Premier League, all eyes will be on the away dug out at Craven Cottage as John Carver takes charge of Newcastle United against Fulham in the absence of Alan Pardew, who is serving the first game of his stadium ban.

The sun is shining on the south coast, but will it be a bright day for Middlesbrough, who are taking on Bournemouth?

Back in the North-East, Hartlepool United are entertaining Bristol Rovers in League Two, while Darlington travel to Northwich Victoria in the Evo-Stick League.

Referee: Fred Graham (Stanford le Hope)

Prediction: 1-0
