Debuchy suffers injury scare ahead of World Cup

MATHIEU DEBUCHY faces an anxious couple of days to determine if his World Cup dream is over.

The Newcastle United full-back had to be withdrawn at half-time against Jamaica last night with a thigh problem. Suggestions he had broken his foot were not correct.

Debuchy will be assessed to determine the extent of the problem, with France boss Didier Deschamps admitting he feels "some discomfort" when running.
