MIDDLESBROUGH have completed their first signing of transfer-deadline day with the arrival of winger Yanic Wildschut from Dutch side Heerenveen.

Wildschut, who has signed a two-year deal on Teesside with the option of a further year, moves for a fee which is understood to be around €800,000.

The 22-year-old, who is a former Holland Under-21 international, is a product of the prestigious Ajax academy, although he left the Amsterdam club at the age of 18.

He has subsequently made more than 100 appearances in the Dutch Eredivisie for FC Zwolle, VVV-Venlo, Den Haag and Heerenveen.
