HARTLEPOOL UNITED’S play-off squad of the 2004/05 season are getting back together for a reunion to mark the tenth anniversary of their League One play-off final.

Pools lost 4-2 to Sheffield Wednesday at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium in May 2005, when they were leading 2-1 with eight minutes to go. Promotion to the Championship was in touching distance.

The event has been organised to raise funds for the Hartlepool Hospice, and to allow the players and fans to reunite ten years after that fantastic day out in Cardiff.

Most of the players have confirmed their attendance and include Micky Barron, Adam Boyd, John Brackstone, Ben Clark, Darrell Clarke, Darren Craddock, Jon Daly, Dimi Konstantopoulos, Micky Nelson, Matty Robson, Antony Sweeney, Mark Tinkler, Chris Westwood, with management staff Neale Cooper and Paul Stephenson.

Tickets are priced at £200 for a table of ten, with a small number of individual tickets also available at £20 each.

The event will be held at the town’s Borough Hall on Saturday May 16, and will include a pie and peas supper, top comedian, auction and raffle.

Ticket sales have already meant the event has twice had to be moved to a larger venue and only a limited number of tickets remain.
