Darlington extended their undefeated run to 12 matches by recovering from going a goal down at Bamber Bridge yesterday to win 1-0.

Alistair Waddecar gave the Lancashire club an early lead with a terrific goal on the turn, but Quakers soon equalised with Graeme Armstrong netting his tenth league strike of the campaign.

And leading scorer Amar Purewal took his league tally to 11 with a fine individual goal by scoring what proved to be the winner fur minutes before half-time.

Darlington remain second, a point behind Northwich Victoria with two games in hand, while their next two matches are both at Heritage Park: Radcliffe Borough on Saturday and Scarborough on Boxing Day.
