MUSTAPHA CARAYOL is in line to make his return from injury for Middlesbrough tomorrow evening.
The winger is in Aitor Karanka’s squad to face Bolton Wanderers at the Riverside Stadium after recovering from a cruciate ligament injury.
Carayol has not featured for the first team since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in the 0-0 draw at Bournemouth in March last year, but Karanka feels that the Trotters game will be a good opportunity for him.
“He is in the squad for tomorrow, he could be involved,” said Karanka at his pre-match press conference today.
“Tomorrow is a game that I think he can have his opportunity and I have to try him.
“He needs time, he has been playing with the Under-21s and his performances have been getting better so I am pleased with him and he just needs to take the last step.”
Jelle Vossen will miss out after suffering mild concussion during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Leeds United.
