DARLINGTON have announced that their final league game of the season will be an all-ticket affair.

The match is on Saturday, April 25 against with New Mills and could decide whether Quakers win the title or end up in the play-offs for the second season running.

However, they have two crucial games before then, at Lancaster City on Saturday and Warrington on Tuesday.

Should Quakers remain in contention for first place by the final league fixture then interest will be high, so the club have made the contest all-ticket for everyone other than season ticket holders.

New Mills have been asked to inform Quakers how many of their supporters plan on making the trip from Derbyshire, their final match in the Evo-Stik First Division North having been relegated this week.

Darlington say no tickets will be sold on the day of the game, with sale limited to six per individual and normal admission prices apply: adults £9, concessions £6, child £4.

Tickets go on sale at Quaker Retail on Monday, April 20 and will be available during usual Quaker Retail opening hours throughout the week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10am-1pm). In addition Quaker Retail will also be open on Wednesday, April 22, 5-9pm.

However, the club are unable to offer fans the opportunity to pay for tickets by PayPal, debit or credit cards.

Meanwhile, the inaugural meeting of a Darlington supporters club for fans based in the Newton Aycliffe area took place last night and was hailed a success.

Chairman Alan Bennett said: “The main topic was travel to home games, how a couple of fans have lapsed because they were unable to get to games but would go if there was transport available. We discussed fundraising events such as quiz nights and ways to get younger fans included like funfairs.

“One lad is going to research voluntary group models on which we can base ourselves, but the consensus was to follow the official supporters group model for consistency.

“With regard to travel, we are looking at a coach to include a Shildon pick up as I know we have at least seven people interested from there. All in all I’m very pleased with tonight.”

Their next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13 at the Iron Horse, beginning at 7pm and supporters who live in Aycliffe, Shildon or Bishop Auckland are invited to attend.
