CROOK TRI Angular League

 

                Crook White Swan won the Team Knock Out Cup in comfortable fashion when they beat Crook White Swan by winning all three disciplines. The scores were 3-2 at darts, 4-1 at dominoes and 3-2 at pool to give an overall 10-5 victory.

                At darts, the Swan had wins from Michael Thompson, Ronnie Thompson and Wayne Harker with Colin Cranston and Darren Melderis replying. David Byrne won the lone dominoes point for the Crown, whilst Sally Ann Richardson, John Warriner, Dave Binyon and Les Scott replied. In the pool section Les Scott, John Warriner and Wayne Tindale won for the Swan with John Howarth and John Howe replying.

                Lacey’s Bar improved their standing the darts section after they beat the visiting Durham Ox by three points. The home team had wins from Paul Stableton, Daniel Longstaff and Gordon Coatsworth before adding both doubles. The Ox replied with wins from Neil Tallentire and Barry Thexton.

                In the dominoes section the Top edged to an odd point win at Binchester, who had wins from Chris Kennedy and Robert Cain whilst Gordon Berriman, Chris Bowron and Michael Murdoch put the Hatters ahead. The two pairs games were shared.

                The Bay Horse pulled off an odd point victory in the pool section at the Sports Bar. The home team had singles wins from Paul Stewart and Lee Taylor, but the visitors went ahead with wins from Lee Cummings, Michael Richardson and Barry McPherson before the two doubles were shared.

                Eddie Mordica hit two 180’s for Tindale Crescent, Paul Knighton hit a 180 in a 13 dart finish and Gavin Dunnett a 180 for Byers Green; Barry Greenwood hit a 180 for Ferryhill with team mate Gary Taylor hitting a 120 checkout in a 15 dart leg.

                Darts results; Crook Belle Vue 2 Tindale Crescent 3; Chilton 2 Byers Green 3; Ferryhill 2 Crowtrees 3. Darlington had a bye. Crook lead the section by two points.
