CROOK & District League
The first section of the League’s Singles and Doubles Championships were held at Crook Crown. In the Singles there were 38 entries with two qualifying for the Finals Night.
It proved a success night for the Travellers Rest as Bill Fairhurst beat Alan Saville of the King’s Head in the first semi final and Pam Wright beat Alan Ogilvie of Tow Law New Market in the second.
The qualifying pairs from the Doubles competition were Graham Young with Gary Brunskill of the Surtees and Kimberley Fleming with Barkley Graham of Willington Queen’s Head.

Points: Masons and Victoria 102 each; Weardale 101; Voltigeur A 94; Croxdale Club A and Ship Inn 86 each; Village Inn and Ash Tree 84 each; Football Club 80; KGH 78; Binchester 73; Half Moon 72; Railway B 70; Voltigeur B and Railway A 69 each; Durham ox 68; Top Hat 65; Croxdale Club B 55.
