What price heritage?
DBC have consistently failed to capitalise on the unique position the town holds in Railway Engineering history. If managed correctly this could generate money for the town and ease the budgetary pressures. A whole destination management plan backed up by clear marketing is required.

Projected cost of new multi-storey car park for Darlington rises to £7m
Why am I not surprised? Will be more like 10m by the time it's finished!Just about right! It cost £18 million for the '20-20 vision project' for Durham city that did not involve any building apart from moving the horse 20 metres Building a new car park will definitely cost more than £10 million after the experts (consultants) get their payments for ensuring the project goes ahead.
