PUB THEFT: Police are hunting a man who stole a pub landlord’s mobile phone. The thief stepped behind the bar of the Locomotive pub, Byerley Road, Shildon, at 3.53pm on May 13, when the landlord’s back was turned and stole a Nokia 6300 phone. The crook was wearing a top which had the word Tokyo written on it. He left in a dark grey vehicle similar to a Corsa or Fiesta. Anyone who can help trace the thief should call PC Paul Tingle, at Bishop Auckland Police Station, on 101.
