County Durham’s City Run Festival went ahead this weekend despite less than desirable weather – are you in any of our photos from the day?
It has been a wet and rainy weekend across the North East, but runners persevered and pushed through in Durham on Saturday (July 15).
Participants came in their droves to compete in the ‘Run like a Legend’ and ‘Families on Track’ events that took place throughout the day.

For the ‘Run like a Legend’ event, athletes took a fast, flat mile-long route along the river to set their own personal best.
‘Families on Track’ saw mums, dads and little ones challenge themselves as a team with many pictured crossing the finish line together.
Some were even pictured wearing fancy dress costumes for the occasion as they took the blustery showers in their stride.

Saturday's programme of events followed the 5k and 10k runs that saw hundreds gather in Durham city to take part on Friday evening.
More than 3,000 participants signed up for the schedule of races and other running events during the course of the festival.
